The Nanango Uniting Church Adult Fellowship’s annual Daffodil Day Lunch will raise money for the Queensland Cancer Council using locally-grown daffodils

The Nanango Uniting Church Adult Fellowship will be holding its annual Daffodil Day Lunch from noon this Friday (August 25) at the Nanango Cultural Centre.

This popular annual event features a two course meal with lots of raffle prizes and a plant, fruit and vegetable and sweets stall.

Locally grown Daffodils are a feature of the event and will also be for sale.

Entertainment for the day will be from the Blackbutt Singers and a guest speaker relevant to the Daffodil Day cause will be present.

Tickets at $15.00 per person will be available from the Nanango Information Centre in Henry Street, but need to be booked by August 21.

The Adult Fellowship holds a number of morning tea and concert events throughout the year.

Part of the proceeds of these events goes to the Uniting Church Blue Care Service, the local school chaplaincy program, and UCA Frontier Services which support outback Australia.

The next concert will be on Tuesday, October 17 at 9:30am in the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango

The Adult Fellowship meets periodically through the year at the Gipps Street Uniting Church Hall.

The next meeting will be held on Friday, September 1 at 1:30 pm.
