Kingaroy’s Holly Ferling will be back playing for the Queensland Fire this season after being offered a contract with Queensland Cricket.
The fast bowler was named on Tuesday as one of the 2017-18 players to receive full Queensland contracts.
Other players named were Kirby Short (c), Jemma Barsby, Haidee Birkett, Tess Cooper, Josey Dooley, Carly Fuller, Grace Harris, Laura Harris, Courtney Hill, Sammy-Jo Johnson, Delissa Kimmince, Georgia Prestwidge and Kara Sutherland.
The Queenslanders’ season will begin on October 6 when the Fire take on NSW at Blacktown in Sydney.
Southern Stars’ Beth Mooney and Jess Jonassen have been contracted by Cricket Australia.
