A man aged in his 50s was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition on Monday evening after he fell about 1.5m from a ledge on a water tank.
Emergency crews were called to the incident about 6:00pm on a property on West Coast Road, south-east of Kilkivan.
An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said the man suffered serious chest injuries when he hit a truck parked next to the tank during the fall.
A LifeFlight critical care doctor stabilised the man at the scene and placed him into an induced coma.
He was then flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
