Kingaroy Rotary created four new Paul Harris Fellows at its recent changeover dinner held at the SBcare hall in Kingaroy.

Paul Harris Medallions For Service recognised Jenny Lutz, Edna Bastable, David Black and Ray Pitt for their service to Rotary and the community.

Special guests at the changeover dinner included Rotary District Governor Alan Stephens, Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell.

Representatives from Taabinga Rotary, Murgon Rotary, Kingaroy Lions, Kingaroy Quota and Probus were also in attendance.

A highlight of the dinner was a “weigh-in” by outgoing club president Wayne Bushell who has been losing weight over the past year to improve his health and raise money for Rotary.

So far, Wayne has lost 40kg and raised $520 for charity.

Wayne handed over the chains of office to incoming president Patrick Eeles, a long-serving member of the club and a familiar face flipping sausages at Rotary barbecues or serving up drinks at Rotary bars.
