Four fire crews have been called to a grass fire burning in the vicinity of Allens Road, South Nanango.

The fire broke out about 11:45am and crews are working to contain the blaze.

A QFES spokesman said residents in Nanango and the surrounding area may be affected by smoke haze, and should keep doors and windows closed.

Motorists in the area should drive with caution and keep an eye out for firefighters.

Any residents concerned their property is under threat should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

UPDATE: QFES crews are no longer attending this incident and the fire has been extinguished.
