The South Burnett Saints have notched up their fourth straight win – and locked in third spot on the AFL Darling Downs Ladder – with their eight-goal demolition of South Toowoomba on Saturday.

The Saints finished 20.6 (126) to the Bombers’ 12.7 (79) and led at every change.

South Burnett’s goals were by Mitchell Francis (6), Braeden Snow (5), Jordan Pressnell (4), Nathan Trace (2), Kieran Askin (2) and Caylan Brown.

The Saints will be playing at home on Saturday, taking on University Cougars in the Allied Pickford’s Cup Match of the Round at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.

The South Burnett Women’s team enjoyed their first win of the season last Saturday, defeating the Dalby Swans in a low-scoring game at their home ground in Dalby on Saturday.

The final score was 4.3 (27) to 2.9 (21).

Scores were locked at the end of the first quarter, but the Saints were stronger in the second and managed to hold on to their lead until the full-time siren.

The Saints’ Women will be facing Lockyer-Warwick at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday.
