The Iseppi family from Dalby – familiar faces around the local show ring with their Red Angus cattle – have taken out the top beef trophies at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Gavin and Kirrily Iseppi only entered one animal in the competitions, a five-year-old female “GK Red Ruba 26 G40”.
The cow, with calf at foot, won the Grand Champion Red Angus female, the Urquhart Trophy for Grand Champion interbreed female and then Supreme Beef Exhibit of the Show.
She then was paired with a bull, RDMG Red Solo Cup – shown by the Wheeler family from central-western NSW – to win the Hordern Trophy for an interbreed pair.
The Iseppis also won this prestigious trophy in 2014.
“GK Red Ruba 26 G40” has tasted success in Sydney before.
She was best Red Angus Exhibit and Supreme Beef Female at the 2015 Royal Easter Show.
