Nanango has been transformed in recent years with a new streetscape, traffic lights, a roundabout, a new police station and more to come …. former residents who haven’t stayed in touch with their old home town may be in for a pleasant surprise at a mid-March reunion

February 23, 2017

An annual reunion of former Nanango residents which has been held at New Farm Park in Brisbane for over a decade will be getting a new twist this year.

In a complete reversal of tradition, the Nanango and District Past and Present Resident’s Reunion will be held in Nanango.

“The reunion will provide an opportunity for past residents to return to their home town to reminisce and renew old acquaintances,” organiser Vicki Cross said.

“And by holding the reunion in Nanango, we hope it will encourage more local residents to attend, too.”

The reunion will be held in the gardens of Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street from 9:30am to 2:00pm on Saturday, March 18.

Guests are asked to bring their own chairs because seating will be limited.

“However lunch will be available for those who do not wish to bring their own basket lunch,” Vicki said.

“But if guests think they’d like to purchase a Devonshire Morning Tea or lunch, we’ll need them to RSVP by March 4 so we can plan the catering.”

Vicki said she hopes the day will be a great success, and encouraged all Nanango residents to come along.

Ringsfield’s buildings will be open for guests to wander through if they wish.

Vicki can by contacted by email or by phoning 0407-279-015.
