A home Veggie Patch Boost supervised by celebrity gardener Brian Sams will be won by one lucky Toowoomba Regional Council resident who attends one of Council’s “Seed to Feed” workshops.

The Seed to Feed program is part of Council’s CHANGE Project, which is a Healthy Communities initiative offering advice and tips for growing fruit and vegetables in backyard gardens, patches and plots.

TRC Parks and Recreation Services portfolio leader Cr Joe Ramia Brian Sams would concentrate on plant and seed propagation, seed saving, creating a mini greenhouse and correct fertiliser use at this year’s workshops.

Classes cost $5 and are designed to provided participants with simple and practical tips to grow nutritious food at home.

A workshop is scheduled to be held in Yarraman at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street on Saturday, March 4.

To reserve a spot, contact the TRC on 13-18-72.
