A large grass fire broke out at Glan Devon on Thursday in an area surrounded by rural residential properties.
Rural firefighters were called to an area in Phipps Street East at Glan Devon, just north of Nanango.
The fire began just before noon.
Photos on social media showed the fire burning a short distance from homes.
Firefighters quickly blackened out the area, but will continue monitoring the site in case of any flare-ups.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
