Robyn Logan and Shane Robinson ... managers at the Grand Hotel, Wooroolin

February 9, 2017

When Robyn Logan and Shane Robinson took over the Wooroolin pub last July they cooked up a “grand” plan to try to make a difference in the small town.

Robyn and Shane decided to set aside 50 cents from every meal served at the Grand Hotel for a local cause.

Last Monday, the couple handed over a cheque for $1213.45 to the Wooroolin State School’s P&C Committee at morning parade.

“I come from here originally and I know the school is getting smaller, and I just wanted to help out,” Robyn said.

“The kids are our future.”

The couple aren’t resting on their laurels … they’ve already started collecting for their next project.

“We started again, and this time I think it will go towards the Wooroolin Hall,” Robyn said.

Robyn said they would probably keep the scheme going, and keep the funds raised in the community.
