FLASHBACK: Santa checks out a hot ride for Christmas … Wayne Streeting’s 1939 Willys carried Santa on the 2012 Christmas Lights Cruise while his sleigh was in the workshop for repairs

All members of South Burnett hot rod, muscle, vintage, classic and custom car clubs are being invited to join a special “Christmas Lights Cruise” around Kingaroy on Friday, December 9.

Owners of any of these types of vehicles are invited along too, if they don’t happen to belong to a car club at the moment.

The Christmas Lights Cruise is a popular annual event organised by the South Burnett Gas Guzzlers, and this year they’d like to invite other car owners and car clubs to join in too.

Drivers will meet at Lions Park at the corner of Kingaroy and Barron Streets across the street from The Peanut Van at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start, and the Cruise will conclude at Kingaroy’s McDonald’s Restaurant.

The Cruise route will follow the Christmas Lights competition’s map.

If any owners want to spread Christmas cheer by distributing sweets, they’re very welcome to but they’ll need to be wrapped.

Santa will also be travelling with the Cruise to distribute joy to everyone along the way.

All Cruise participants will need to make sure all their necessary club registrations and insurances are current for participating in the event.

Questions, suggestions and RSVPs can be made by phoning Dianne on 0411-323-749.
