South Burnett Regional Council has begun upgrading the eastern end of Dalby Street in Nanango, between Fitzroy Street and Gipps Street, to a sealed pavement.

The project will include the construction of an unformed section off Fitzroy Street and will involve clearing, excavation, gravel pavement, kerb and channelling, bitumen sealing, signage and line marking.

It is expected the work will take about six weeks.

During construction, traffic will be controlled by signs or by traffic controllers.

The street upgrade will improve access to the Heritage Lodge community accommodation project which is being built in stages on the corner of Gipps and Dalby streets.
