Police fear the body of missing Logan teenager Tiffany Taylor may have been dumped somewhere along the Brisbane Valley Highway.

On Thursday, Rodney Williams, 60, from Annerley, was charged with Tiffany’s murder even though her body has not been found.

He appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday morning and was remanded in custody until October 9.

Tiffany was last seen about 11:45am on Sunday, July 12, leaving a motel at Waterford West.

Police will allege Williams met Tiffany via an online dating website on the day she disappeared.

Police and SES volunteers have been searching an area between Fernvale and the Warrego Highway.

Police want to speak to anyone who may gave seen a champagne-coloured 1995 Hyundai Excel, registered 649-VFO, believed to be linked to the incident.

The vehicle was seen in the vicinity of the Brisbane Valley Highway between Fernvale and Blacksoil on Sunday, July 12 between 1:00pm and 1:45pm.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have met with or had any interaction with Tiffany through dating websites or know anyone else who may have had interactions.

Her white Samsung smartphone, which may have been disposed of within the Bundamba or Riverview areas, is also yet to be recovered.
