Police are seeking help to identify two men who have allegedly been involved in a number of shop stealing offences in southern Queensland – all involving razor blades.

Police alleges the two men have stolen large quantities of Gillette razor blades and cartridges from supermarkets between Caboolture and Maryborough.

Razor blades valued at more than $7500 were taken between August 3-6.

Police say the two men enter a store, select a carry basket and then proceed to the health and beauty aisle; one will remove a large quantity of razor blades, sometimes causing damage to the shelving while the other acts as a shield or lookout.

They then move to another aisle and transfer the razor blades to a satchel bag or back pack and exit the store, leaving behind the empty carry basket.

The first man is aged about 35, medium build, 180cm, fair complexion, receding dark brown short hair and wears a black Canterbury hooded jumper.

The second man is about 30, solid build, fair complexion, short brown hair, wearing a Polo shirt carrying an over-the-shoulder black satchel bag/back pack.

Since August 3, the thieves have targeted Coles stores in Maryborough, Gympie, Caboolture, Buddina and Mooloolaba.
