Sporting and recreation club volunteers have been invited to attend two free workshops which will be held on the same night in Kingaroy next month.
In the first workshop, Leisa Donlan will explain the changes that have occurred to the “Get Going Clubs” and “Get Playing Places and Spaces” funding programs which open online next month.
In the second workshop, Leisa will discuss legislative changes and how to re-write a club Constitution.
The constitution details the system of principles and laws by which an organisation is governed. It sets out how the organisation will operate and it is legally binding on the club executive and members of the organisation.
It should be clear and simple so that members understand their rights and responsibilities, leaders understand their mandate and accountability requirements, and members of the public understand why the organisation exists and how it operates.
The workshop will provide step-by-step guidance for writing, reviewing and updating a constitution. To gain the most out of this workshop, volunteers should bring along a copy of their club’s current Constitution.
The two workshops will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre at 6 Cornish Street, Kingaroy.
The Funding Information Session will run from 5:00pm-6:00pm
The Re-Write Your Constitution workshop will run from: 6:00pm–9:00pm
- Register online before August 7
