University of Southern Queensland students have been encouraged to apply for scholarships for Semester 2.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Jan Thomas said the university wanted to help all students reach their full academic potential.
“USQ has a range of support, including scholarships and bursaries, to aid students who need financial assistance to study at the university,” she said.
“That’s the focus of this round of scholarships and I urge anyone who needs such assistance to check their eligibility and apply.”
Applications for Semester 2 scholarships – including USQ Equity Scholarships, USQ KickStart and USQ KickOn Bursaries, Residential College Scholarships and Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships – close on July 24.
“We want to encourage excellence by recognising students who have volunteer commitments; leadership qualities or sporting achievements; or, a previous high academic achievement,” Prof Thomas said.
“We are also dedicated to supporting our students who need a helping hand to be able to attend USQ.
“Students can find out more by visiting our website, contacting the Scholarships office or their Student Relationship Officer.”
