More places in the Nanango, Moffatdale and Cherbourg areas can now get superfast broadband as NBN Co has activated more of its fixed wireless network.
“Fixed wireless offers internet speeds more than twice as fast as ADSL connections,” Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott said.
Using 4G technology, the towers will deliver internet speeds of about 25Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.
“This means multiple high-definition videos can be streamed at one time, as an example,” Mr Scott said.
“Switching on these fixed wireless towers shows this Liberal National Coalition Government is delivering on our pledge to get the NBN rollout back on track.”
In the latest rollout, the number of premises covered are Nanango (175), Nanango East (266), Nanango South (227), Murgon North (181) and Cherbourg (488).
