Ten cattle were killed when a double-deck B-Double cattle truck overturned near Goomeri on Thursday morning.
Sergeant Warren Lohmann, from Goomeri Police, said the truck was heading south and carrying 78 head when it tipped onto its passenger side near a sharp bend on the Burnett Highway about 7:00am.
The incident occurred about 5km north of Goomeri.
Sgt Lohmann said some of the cattle died in the crash while others had to be put down due to their injuries.
The truck driver, from Wilsonton, was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries but has since been discharged.
The highway was partially blocked while the truck was righted and cattle removed from the scene.
