The South Burnett Regional Council today hosted an activity to help acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness Month (May).
Across Australia groups are weaving stars as part of the “1 Million Stars To End Violence” project.
In the South Burnett, a target of 4160 stars as been set.
Star weaving workshops were held in Murgon and Kingaroy last week.
“Weaving a star for the South Burnett project is a symbol of light and hope, helping to increase awareness of domestic violence,” Cr Ros Heit said.
