South Burnett Peace Of Mind provided a Christmas buffet and activities at their drop-in centre at the Lutheran Church Hall in Kingaroy on Christmas night.

Local chefs Jason and Karen Ford and David and Rosemary Devlin-Brand helped to prepare the food and the night was sponsored by a number of local businesses.

The drop-in centre aims to help people with mental health issues or disabilities, or any person who identifies as in need of help,

“The attendees really enjoyed the Christmas buffet, which was all freshly made, healthy food with desserts afterwards,” Jason Ford said.

“I don’t think they always get the opportunity to celebrate festive events and be be in such a supportive and welcoming environment.

“I was really impressed by how much effort South Burnett Peace Of Mind put in to provide a night of Christmas activities, like movies, karaoke and board games.”
