A combined U13/U14 South Burnett junior rugby league team has won the annual Broncos Challenge played on Saturday at Mitchelton in Brisbane.

The boys went through the carnival undefeated, downing Gympie, Greenbank and West Mitchelton along their way to the final.

Only one try was scored against them in these first three matches.

In the final, they overcame Warwick by six tries to two.

The South Burnett has participated in the invitation-only challenge over the past few years, winning the competition once before and runners-up in the second year they participated.

The competition is split into two pools of four teams.

All games are 20 minutes straight with no half-time.
