The South Burnett Equestrian Group held its annual Janet Sparkes Memorial dressage competition at the Kingaroy Showgrounds over the October long weekend.
Leah Frohloff said the number of entrants for the competition was down on previous years, possibly due to the number of events on in the local area over the weekend.
Even so, there were 15 competitors and 36 tests were ridden.
The senior trophy was won by Nicole Kimlin on “Ironbark Lodge Arion”.
The President’s Trophy for junior riders was won by Stacey Sanders on “Savoir Flair”.
The dressage competition remembers Janet Sparkes, a member of the for many years, who suffered a fatal heart attack during a club competition day about 25 years ago.
