Toowoomba Regional Council will get help under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) to assist with repairs from flooding in the region in March this year.
Federal Attorney-General George Brandis and Queensland Emergency Services Minister Jack Dempsey announced the joint Federal-State funding today.
“Local councils did significant work preparing for these floods, but there is still a lot of work to be done for the clean-up and this funding will help communities to rebuild,” Senator Brandis said.
He said the funding would assist with the restoration of essential public assets such as roads and bridges.
