Kumbia QCWA members participated in “Women Walk The World” today.

This is an event conducted by the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) to promote its aims and to raise funds for its valuable work.

ACWW is based in London and is active in more than 70 countries worldwide, working in partnership with members and member societies such as the QCWA.

The Kumbia walkers set off from the QCWA restrooms in Bell Street just after 7:00am and enjoyed a stroll around the streets of Kumbia.

They then enjoyed refreshments at the restrooms a couple of hours later.

The walkers appreciated the opportunity to admire the gardens in the town and raise money to help ACWW fund about 40 development projects annually.
