A damaged cable at a Nanango substation has been blamed for a blackout which affected a large part of the South Burnett on Sunday.
An Ergon Energy spokesman said 5800 customers lost power from 11:20am to 1:00pm in the Nanango, Blackbutt, Benarkin, Yarraman and Cooyar areas.
The power outage knocked Wild Horse FM off the air for the full period of the blackout, and affected the availability of fuel supplies in Nanango.
