The recent wet weather has kept local SES crews busy.

Kingaroy Group Leader Peter Verbakel told southburnett.com.au the Kingaroy SES was called out yesterday morning to sandbag premises in Kingaroy.

And then in the afternoon, the volunteers were called out to install tarpaulins over a leaking roof.

“It seems the weather will be keeping the SES busy for some time,” Mr Verbakel said.

“Residents are urged to remember – if it’s flooded forget it.”

Nanango Group Leader Robyn Baker said her crews had also been called out to tarp several leaking roofs.

For storm and flood emergencies, call the SES on 13-25-00.
