The rains appear to have started, and so have activations for Kingaroy SES.

Last evening Kingaroy SES attended to a storm damage callout at a Kingaroy Street shop.

Nine members attended the call and were required to deploy a large 9m x 6m tarp over the leaking roof area.

No stock damage was reported, although some water was leaking into the premises.

This activation required 18 hours of work, including sandbag filling and tarp deployment and was safely completed by 9:30pm.

Residents are reminded to ensure their gutters are clear of leaves and debris to allow rain water to flow freely.

For all Storm and Flood Emergencies, call the SES on 13-25-00.
