A 27-year-old Kingaroy man appeared by videolink in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today charged with attempted armed robbery following an incident at the McDonald’s Family Restaurant on December 9 last year.

Benjamin Roy Clarke, who is being held in custody at Maryborough Correctional Centre, sought to have the matter dealt with today but because of the nature of the charge, it will have to be heard in the District Court.

The matter was adjourned until March 6.

A man will face trial in District Court on three charges after a full hand-up committal in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today.

Magistrate Barry Barrett committed Dempsey Robert-James Jacobs on charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, attempted robbery and enter premises.

Jacobs is also facing seven other charges, including fraud, stealing and unlawful entry of a vehicle, which were adjourned.
