Locals and visitors gathered at the Kumbia Hotel on Saturday to mark the 100th birthday of the town’s well-known landmark.
Licensee Paul Doran said construction finished in 1913 and the new Labour Day long weekend provided the perfect opportunity to mark the occasion.
Historic photographs of the Kumbia area were on show, and visitors also had the opportunity to enjoy a hot lunch while listening to live music in the beer garden area.
The Kumbia QCWA and the Kingaroy Lions Club provided the food, while there were also stalls from Kumbia Kindergarten and craft stalls.
Out the back of the hotel, a car and bike show also drew attention.
Mr Doran said he expected the special day would become an annual event, with more emphasis on cars and bikes.
