Pulse Health CEO Phillipa Blakey confirmed today the NSW-based company is “very keen” to reach an agreement with the South Burnett Regional Council to continue management of the South Burnett Private Hospital in Kingaroy.

Ms Blakey, who only took over the CEO’s role within the last fortnight, said she was confident an agreement would be settled soon.

She said she visited Kingaroy earlier this week to have discussions with Council and to inspect the hospital.

“It’s a fantastic hospital providing a great service,” she said.

“We do want to work a lot more closely with the Council and the local community.”

She said it was “highly likely” Pulse would continue on in the management role.
