A 20-year-old Kingaroy man was sentenced to 18 months’ jail for a string of break-and-enter offences when he appeared in Murgon Magistrates Court today.

Benjamin Klease pleaded guilty to six break-ins – including the Kingaroy Cricket Club – eight breaches of bail and evading a taxi fare.

Magistrate Mark Bucknall fixed a parole release date of March 16, 2014.

Kingaroy Police Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Duane Frank told southburnett.com.au police were happy to have solved a number of outstanding break-and-enters that had occurred in the region and to get the offender responsible off the streets.
