Ergon Energy customers who have qualified to receive the 44c/kWh feed-in tariff must have their solar PV system installed and a “Form A” lodged by their installer by the end of June to retain eligibility.

Customers had to apply by July 9 last year and then be approved by Ergon Energy to be eligible for the higher rate under the Solar Bonus Scheme.

But that eligibility will lapse if the system is not installed and the required paperwork is not submitted before midnight on Sunday, June 30.

Ergon Energy can install the new meter after June 30 without affecting eligibility for the 44c rate.

Customers whose Form As miss the deadline may be eligible to receive a feed-in tariff of 8c/kWh until June 30 next year under the revised scheme.

They will not need to reapply to Ergon Energy.
