An excavator working in Somerset Street came into contact with overhead power lines this morning, resulting in 1160 Ergon Energy customers in Kingaroy having their power supply interrupted for about 45 minutes.
The accidental contact caused the network protection system to cut power on the feeder line as a safety precaution at 8.07am.
Crews attended the scene to check there was no damage requiring repair and that power could be safely reinstated to customers, which was done at 8.54am.
