Cherbourg’s Amber Saltner has been selected as a shadow for the 2013 Australian Jillaroos squad – the Australian Women’s Rugby League squad – after scoring a try and kicking three goals for Queensland in today’s victory over NSW.

The Queensland team’s 30-12 win is their 15th straight success in the Interstate Challenge.

The game, which was played at Davies Park in West End, was closer than the final score indicated.

NSW opened the scoring but Queensland hit back quickly.

The score at half-time was 10-6.
