Cherbourg’s Amber Saltner was today named in the Queensland rugby league team to take on NSW in this year’s Women’s Interstate Challenge match.

Playing for the Nellie Doherty Cup, the two teams will face off in Brisbane on Sunday, April 7.

The match will be the final chance for players to push for selection in the Australian Jillaroos team which will contest the World Cup in the United Kingdom later this year.

Queensland have enjoyed an unprecedented run of success in this annual contest and have not lost to NSW since the Nellie Doherty Cup concept began in 1998.
