A 29-year-old man charged after a fatal traffic crash that killed two women at Booubyjan in August has been committed to face trial in the District Court.

Jeremy Karl Crane, who was not required to enter a plea, consented to a full hand-up of evidence in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today.

Crane has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, possessing dangerous drugs, and driving a motor vehicle while a relevant drug was present in his blood or saliva.

Stephanie Mylonas, 20, and Stacey Richter, 21, from the Toowoomba Mountaineers basketball team, were travelling back from a game in Bundaberg when they were killed in a head-on collision on the Burnett Highway on August 19.

Crane will face trial on a date to be fixed.
