Fire crews have been kept busy again today around the South Burnett.

At 1:40pm, firefighters were called to Old Yarraman Road at South Nanango after a fire which started on private property entered a forestry area.

Twelve crews worked to contain the fire. By 4:30pm, mopping up operations were underway.

Earlier in the morning, three crews were called to Crumpton Drive at Blackbutt at 3:23am. They backburned a paddock to make an area safe.
