Cloyna State School has come up with a fun way to help raise funds for a school excursion to Sydney and Canberra … and they’re hoping the local community will jump on board.
Principal Heather Castle said the “Great Mailbox Makeover” competition was encouraging local residents to spruce up their mailboxes for spring.
Cost to register is $10, but entrants will be in the running to win a $300 voucher from Murgon Tyre and Auto.
“So it’s time to get planting, pruning and painting,” she said.
Judging by SBRC councillor Kathy Duff will take place between September 9-16 with the winner announced on September 17.
For more information, and to register your mailbox, contact the school on (07) 4168-6247.
