Moffatdale State School is holding an unusual fundraiser on Friday night …  which involves a cocktail party and women swapping their clothes!

School principal Sharon Tuesley said the school’s mums had been invited to “raid their wardrobes” for unwanted clothes, handbags, shoes and accessories to bring along to the “ladies-only” (no children) event.

All the donated items will be arranged on display – and then names will be drawn out of the hat.

The first name picked out will get exclusive first pick from the items on display; the second name drawn then gets a chance to select etc.

The mums can select the same number of items that they donated.

“It should be a lot of fun!” Sharon said.

Doors open at 7:00pm at the school. There’ll be a lucky door prize and a raffle, and a cocktail bar with a complimentary drink for each lady.

Entry is $50 and all profits will go towards the Year 6 / Year 7 trip to Sydney and Canberra.

Sharon said women from the other Barambah cluster schools fund-raising for the trip – ie. Windera, Wheatlands and Cloyna – were also welcome to come along, and their profits would be returned to their schools.
