Proston State School P&C’s inaugural Fun Run raised an impressive $1500 for the school on Saturday.
The 49 participants had the choice of running/walking one of four courses: 21km, 10km, 5km or 1km.
South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann and his wife Eleanor joined local Proston residents, parents and children braving the cool morning air.
Proston State School P&C president Barb Madden said the event had been a big success, and everyone was keen to do it again next year.
The fun run was followed at the school by a special National Thanksgiving Day event.
