Remembrance Day recalls the signing of the Armistice which ended the Great War at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918, and the sacrifice of military personnel in all conflicts before and since

As Remembrance Day (November 11) falls on a Sunday this year, Kingaroy’s commemoration activities won’t be held in Memorial Park.

A combined Church Service and Remembrance Service will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall and Forecourt from 9:30am.

The combined service has been organised by South Burnett Regional Council, the Kingaroy and District Ministers Association and the Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub Branch.

The Remembrance Day activity will start at 11:00am.

There will be a sausage sizzle in the Town Hall Forecourt at the end of the service.

In Nanango, the Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Nanango War Memorial in Henry Street at 11:00am.

Members of the 123 Australian Cadet Union Nanango will form the catafalque party.
