Everything comes to those who wait … even the Goomeri Show!
The annual event, always a highlight on the local show circuit, was much-delayed this year due to the weather but the gates were finally thrown open last weekend.
There was plenty to keep visitors interested on Saturday, including a Farmer’s Challenge, a Stockman’s Challenge, cattle, dogs, showjumping, a busy pavilion and an even busier bar.
A highlight this year was the expanded amusements area for children, with free face-painting and unlimited rides for $10.
Fireworks at night capped off a big day for the show society volunteers (and a warm day for showgoers!).
