The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a woman was struck and killed on the D’Aguilar Highway on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to a three-vehicle crash near Wamuran just after 2:00pm.
A police spokesperson said initial investigations indicated a white Mazda CX-90 and a white Hyundai Kona were parked on the side of the highway, with the drivers standing outside their vehicles.
A third vehicle, a white Holden Rodeo, then collided with the vehicles, striking the driver of the Hyundai.
A 63-year-old Ningi woman died at the scene.
A 22-year-old Deception Bay man is being interviewed by police, with investigations continuing.
Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or has dashcam footage, to come forward.
