Police have charged two men over an alleged deliberate dangerous driving incident in Kingaroy on Tuesday.
About 8:10am police were conducting patrols when they allegedly saw a 1996 Honda Civic and a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer rapidly accelerate from traffic lights at the intersection of Haly and Fisher streets.
It will be further alleged both vehicles continued travelling side by side, eastwards along Haly Street before being intercepted by police.
Officers seized both vehicles, impounding them for 90 days.
A 20-year-old Ellesmere man and a 21-year-old Kingaroy man have been given a notice to appear for one count of racing vehicles on the road.
Both men are due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 2.
