South Burnett Regional Council has installed 36 new cage bins across the region to encourage recycling.
The cages have been supplied by the Container Exchange program (COEX) at no cost to Council.
The new bins will allow people to leave their eligible drink containers which would have otherwise ended up as litter or landfill.
These can then be collected by another person or a community group who will be able to exchange them for the 10-cent refund at the Container for Change receival depots in Kingaroy or Cherbourg; or at the drop-off points in Blackbutt, Nanango, Proston, Wondai and Yarraman.
