Some of the high-flying fun from the riders from JC Action Sports

June 23, 2026

South Burnett Youth Council members have discovered that putting on a community event can be hard work, but also a lot of fun.

The members, along with support from South Burnett Regional Council and local community groups, hosted a community day and talent quest in Kingaroy’s Memorial Park on Saturday.

There were stalls, games and an enthusiastic display of trick BMX tricks by the riders from JC Action Sports, who also shared positive messages with the spectators.

One of the stars of the show was Kingaroy’s own Dylan Devitt who has exhibited his BMX skills at shows around the world.

The Youth Council members are aged between 13 and 20 and were guided through tasks of organising the day by Cr Danita Potter and South Burnett Regional Council’s community development officer.

Youth Council members compered the day from the stage …
… took part in the talent quest ….
… and worked hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly
