Former Greater Whitsunday Alliance CEO Kylie Porter has been appointed CEO of the Queensland Farmers’ Federation.

QFF president Aaron Kiely said Ms Porter’s experience in regional economic development, industry advocacy and stakeholder engagement would be invaluable to QFF.

“Kylie is a fantastic appointment for QFF, bringing with her a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional Queensland, a strong track record with government at local, State and Federal levels, and a genuine passion for the future of Queensland agriculture,” Mr Kiely said.

Ms Porter has held senior roles with Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) since 2017. This independent economic development organisation covers the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday regions.

She is also a founding director of C-Res, a social enterprise which offers local procurement solutions in remote and regional communities across Australia in partnership with BHP and has served on Queensland Government Ministerial Advisory Councils and as a member of the Clean Economy Expert Panel.

Ms Porter’s new role with QFF will begin on July 27.
