Murgon Show ended on a frightening note on Saturday night for the operators of a food van at the showgrounds.
About 8:10pm, four people got into a silver Toyota Hilux utility, which had a food van attached.
A 50-year-old man who tried to intervene was assaulted and forced from the vehicle. He received first aid at the scene.
The Toyota Hilux was then driven off, with the food van still attached … and a 52-year-old man inside.
A police spokesperson said the food van became separated from the vehicle a short distance away, but the Toyota continued on its way.
The man who was inside the van was not physically injured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Toyota Hilux travelling in the Murgon or Cherbourg areas, or has relevant CCTV, dashcam or other vision, to contact Murgon Police or CrimeStoppers on 1800-333-000.
