Police are investigating an incident which occurred in the Kingaroy Mall car park on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called about 1:30pm following what a police spokesperson described as a minor explosion “caused by a homemade item”.
The spokesperson said no one was injured in the incident, but nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution.
A teenage boy is currently assisting police with inquiries.
